The Brisbane Strikers are delighted to have been advised by Football Queensland that it remains committed to the Hyundai QSL for at least the next three years.

Brisbane Strikers Chairman, Bruce Atterton-Evans said today that Football Queensland had issued written advice regarding progress on a number of issues in which it had not only reaffirmed its support for the QSL, but also indicated its intention to expand the league by adding two more teams – one from the Gold Coast and one from Brisbane.

“We are delighted that Football Queensland has taken the step of making a clear statement about its intentions for the QSL well before the end of the current season”, Mr Atterton-Evans said.

“This gives all of the existing QSL clubs and their players, and those parties currently outside of the QSL but looking at joining the league, a level of certainty and enables them to plan for the future with confidence.

“The Board of the Brisbane Strikers also remains fully committed to the QSL, looks forward to its expansion and intends to ensure that the Brisbane Strikers remains one of its benchmark clubs well into the future.  The Brisbane Strikers continue to see the QSL as an important vehicle for the development of football talent throughout Queensland”.
