Strikers Share Honours With Guangzhou R & F

Feb 15, 2017 by

The Brisbane Strikers senior team completed its pre-season fixtures list in fine style at Perry Park tonight, coming from behind to hold China’s Guangzhou R & F FC to a 2-2 draw.

The full-timers from China, themselves in a pre-season camp at the Strikers’ home ground, threatened to run their hosts ragged in the first half in posting a 2-0 lead by the half time break.

But Strikers hit back in fine style in the second stanza, with midfielder Michael Lee and substitute forward Jeremy Stewart banging in a goal each to ensure the honours were deservedly shared.

Strikers will next be in action in the opening round of the PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues Queensland 2017 season on Saturday, 25 February when they travel to Briggs Road, Ipswich to face Western Pride.
