Strikers ready to get back on track against Olympic

Brisbane Strikers are looking to put their 1-0 loss to Peninsula Power on Saturday night behind them with another strong showing tomorrow night against Olympic at Perry Park.

Prior to the Power loss, Strikers were yet to lose since the return of football from lockdown, which included an eye-catching 1-0 win away to Olympic just two weeks ago.

Since that match, Olympic have played just once, beating Sunshine Coast Wanderers 3-2 away from home.

“It’s a short turnaround for us but I’m sure the lads will do everything necessary to recover ready for Tuesday night,” says head coach Owen baker.

“Olympic will want to prove a point after the last game and whenever you play them it’s a very tough game.”

Meanwhile Strikers forward Fraser Hills expressed excitement about the opportunity to quickly bounce back from a defeat.

“I think it’s lucky that we can get back on the field straight after a loss,” says Hills.

“They’ve got dangerous players and they’ll be a threat but as always we’re hoping for another win.”
