New FFA Cup Kits Presented To Players

Brisbane Strikers players have been formally presented with their new playing kits ahead of next week’s FFA Cup Quarter Final.

The new kits, designed by Brisbane Strikers apparel partner Gorilla Sports, were presented to the playing group and coaches on Saturday morning.

The bold new design marks a return to the club’s all-yellow look made famous in the National Soccer League and features a gold star to recognise the club’s 1997 Championship title in the same competition.

Fans will see the new kits in their first competitive run on Wednesday night when Brisbane Strikers host Moreland Zebras in the FFA Cup Quarter Final at Perry Park.

Gorilla Sports General Manager Ella Bryan said she and her team were grateful for the opportunity to recognise the club’s deepest ever run in the national knockout competition.

“The performance of the team has been outstanding and as a long-term partner of the club we wanted to reward the players for their achievements,” Bryan said.

“In creating the unique kit, our design team drew on inspiration from the Strikers’ rich history and its role as a landmark club in the city of Brisbane.”

“We’ve been thrilled at the positive response to the design and demand from supporters has been terrific.”

Brisbane Strikers Chairman, Bruce Atterton-Evans, said the club was also thrilled by the response to the new playing attire.

“As a club we believe it is important to recognise outstanding achievement and it has been great to work with Gorilla Sports on this special playing kit.”

“The design was a collaboration and we are delighted in the final result and looking forward to seeing the boys wear it on the field.”

Brisbane Strikers senior coaching staff and players were consulted before proceeding with the new kit midway through the competition.

“It is important that everyone was comfortable about changing the kit,” Atterton-Evans said.
