King of the Court

King of the Court is a small-sided game to provide high speed and quick decision-making format for the players, testing their skills in reduced space. The King of the Court is the team that wins the modified game and therefore stays on playing and challenged by the next team until defeated. (or a draw).

 

WHERE:

Perry Park – Bowen Hills – ½ size synthetic court with net pulled across…one age group per court

 

WHEN:

Under 8 – Monday 21 September / Tuesday 22 September – 9am – 11.00am

Under 9 – Monday 21 September / Tuesday 22 September – 9am – 11.00am

Under 10 – Monday 21 September / Tuesday 22 September – 11.30am – 1.30pm

Under 11 – Monday 21 September / Tuesday 22 September – 11.30am – 1.30pm

Under 12 – Monday 21 September / Tuesday 22 September – 2.00pm – 4.00pm

Under 13 – Monday 21 September / Tuesday 22 September – 2.00pm – 4.00pm

 

WHO:

Any club or group that nominate.

Max 6 teams per age group.

Max 6 players per team

Male, Female or Mixed teams welcome

 

HOW IS IT PLAYED:

4 v 4

Each game is for 4 minutes or first team to score two goals

All restarts are from stationary ball, on the ground.

 

NOTES:

Each team must have set of jerseys and bibs (different colour)

The current king of the court has to win the game (if there is a draw, the king of the court is out).

The team with most wins across two days in each age group will be awarded the King of the Court Trophy.

 

COST:

$90 per team ($15 per player). This covers the play across both days (2 days x 2 hours).
